Bidvest Microfinance marks 10th Anniversary with clean up exercise

On the morning of Saturday, 4 November 2023, the Bidvest team gathered with their brooms, rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and a strong sense of community spirit

Bidvest Microfinance celebrated its 10th anniversary with a significant community initiative—a cleanup exercise on the Abeka Junction to the Abeka Total Stretch.

This event not only marked a decade of Bidvest’s presence but also underscored the critical importance of environmental stewardship and community engagement.

They embarked on a mission to desilt clogged drains and gutters, reclaim areas overrun by weeds, and diligently sweep the streets and pavements. The effort wasn’t just about tidying up the surroundings; it was a tangible demonstration of their commitment to being responsible stewards of the environment.

Joe Essien, the Managing Director of Bidvest Microfinance, led the initiative and took a moment to emphasize the paramount importance of urban cleanliness.

He underlined how a cleaner city not only enhances the quality of life but also reflects positively on the community. The MD also expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the dedicated Bidvest staff who actively participated in the cleanup, showcasing their commitment to the values of the company.

Furthermore, in a gesture of goodwill, he extended an invitation to the general public to consider engaging in business with Bidvest Microfinance. Bidvest, founded in 2013, has been a crucial player in the Ghanaian investment and loans landscape. Over the years, the company has excelled in managing and growing clients’ funds and ensuring that their financial decisions are well-informed and beneficial.

This milestone anniversary event was more than just a cleanup; it was a manifestation of Bidvest Microfinance’s dedication to not only its clients but also the communities it serves. It highlighted the company’s commitment to making a positive impact and being a responsible corporate citizen in Ghana’s dynamic business environment.

Zoomlion Ghana Limited and the Okaikwei North municipal assembly sponsored the cleanup exercise.
