Dubbed: "Exercise book project," the aim is to help parents to provide more books for their wards in Yagaba-Kubori

Yussif Mustapha, the MP for Yagaba-Kubori and sports minister has donated over 40,000 books to students in his constituency.

Dubbed: “Exercise book project,” the aim is to help parents to provide more books for their wards in Yagaba-Kubori.

Five exercise books were presented to each student from primary 4 to Junior High School.

Alhassan Abudu Bipuah, the NPP’s constituency secretary, stated that the exercise books would be distributed to all of the constituency’s targeted students in order to improve teaching and learning.

“We have started the distribution of these books at Tantala, but we are distributing about 40,000 across the entire constituency from primary 4 (Upper primary) to Junior High School 3 to reduce the burden on the wards. This will go a long way to help the pupil in school,” Alhassan Abudu Bipuah said.

In December of last year, the MP established an educational fund to fully finance his people who were accepted to study medicine or law at any of Ghana’s top schools.

The educational fund was established during the bi-annual homecoming of the district’s sons and daughters of Mamprugu Moaduri association to assist brilliant, but needy students who wish to study medicine and law in the constituency.

The constituency secretary stated that the minister is striving to ensure that students in the constituency continue to benefit from the MP common fund until his term ends.
