Abraham Kotei Neequaye elected president of Ghana Boxing Authority

He succeeds Peter Zwennes, a private legal practitioner, who has been the GBA president for the past eight years

The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has elected Abraham Kotei Neequaye as the new president alongside other officials after an election at the Bukom boxing arena in Accra.

Neequaye secured 54 of the 100 votes beating his closest rival Henry Manly-Spain, who polled 46 votes in Thursdays (22 July) election.

He  succeeds Peter Zwennes, a private legal practitioner, who has been the GBA president for the past eight years.

Neequaye will lead the Ghana Boxing Authority for the next four years with his executive.

The GBA also elected Rabon Doodo and Roger Bannor as first and second vice presidents. Patrick Johnson retained his position as general secretary.
