Asaase commiserates with family of late Mawuena Adzo Trebarh

The Asaase team visited the Dumor family residence in Haatso on Monday (15 April) to offer its sympathies and support to the grieving family

The management of Asaase Broadcasting Company Limited visited Professor Ernest Dumor and his family to express heartfelt condolences on the passing of their daughter, Mawuena Adzo Trebarh.

The Asaase team visited the Dumor family residence in Haatso on Monday (15 April) to offer its sympathies and to support the grieving family.

Mawuena Adzo Trebarh, who passed away on Wednesday (10 April) after a brief illness, was the elder sister of the late Komla Dumor.

She was the first female CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC).

She held senior leadership positions at MTN Ghana, Newmont Ghana Gold Limited, Ashanti Goldfields Company Limited and served as the board chair of Movenpick Ambassador Hotel.

Mawuena was the spokesperson for the 2020 NDC vice-presidential candidate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang.

The chief executive officer of Asaase Broadcasting Company Limited, George Andah assured the family of the company’s unwavering support during this difficult time.

“On behalf of Asaase Radio we want to express our condolences to Prof and the family. At Asaase Radio we consider ourselves to be friends of the Dumor family.”

Speaking on behalf of the Dumor family, Dzifa Gomashie thanked the management of Asaase for commiserating with them. She said a date for the funeral rites of the late Mawuena Adzo Trebarh would be announced at a later.

“We appreciate the expression of condolences and well wishes in this time. We are all grieving because I know that she impacted so many of us in different ways.”

Professor Ernest Dumor, the father of the late Mawuena Adzo Trebarh, called on everyone to rally around and support him during these challenging times.
