Asuoyeboa: Mother and two children burnt to death

A mother and her two children were killed when fire gutted their nine-bedroom house in Asuoyeboa North in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The fire is said to have started around 1 am on Monday (19 September) from a hall where mattresses were kept.

The victims got trapped as the inferno spread to other rooms.

They were however discovered dead when firefighters completely battled the blaze.

The charred remains of Felicia Owusu, 45, Obed Owusu, nine, and 11-year-old Christabel Owusu have been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Felicia’s husband is said to be receiving treatment at the same facility.

Speaking with Asaase News, Ashanti Regional spokesperson for the Ghana National Fire Service, DOIII Peter Osei Addai who confirmed the incident said investigations have begun.
