Bono Region: GES interdicts two headmasters for charging unauthorised fees

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted two headmasters in the Bono Region for allegedly selling and charging unauthorised items for fresh students.

Joseph Jilinjeh Abudu, headmaster of Odomaseman Senior High School in the Sunyani West Municipality and Afi Yaw Stephen, headmaster of Berekum Senior High School in a separate letter signed by the Bono regional director of GES, Gabriel Antwi and sighted by Asaase News accused them of charging unauthorised fees.

They have both been directed by the GES to step aside for further investigations into the issue.

“For now, the matter is under investigation. It was alleged that they were charging unapproved fees in their various schools and management took the decision to let them step aside for investigation to progress to find out if the allegations were true or false,” Luke Mensah, spokesperson of GES in the Bono Region told Asaase News.
