Eric Kwaku Mensah, the lead for financial crime and anti-money laundering at the e-Crime Bureau, has advised Ghanaians to be cautious whom they accept as friends on social media.

Speaking to Kwaku Nhyira-Addo on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Wednesday (17 May), Mensah said: “It is important that for your own security, you do not just accept any friend request on social media.

“You must have parameters that a friend must fulfil … It can be for mutual benefit. It can also be if you know the person or they are a friend of a friend. Do not just accept any friend request.
