Founder of Radio Gold Sainti Baffoe-Bonnie dies

Kwasi Sainti Baffoe-Bonnie’s venture in the broadcasting media is seen as one of the greatest contributions to political discourse in Ghana

Kwasi Sainti Baffoe-Bonnie, the former chief executive officer and founder of Network Broadcasting, operators of the defunct Radio Gold, is reported dead.

Reports suggest that he passed away today (1 February) after a short illness.

Baffoe-Bonnie was a presidential staffer in the office of the then vice-president John Mahama in the government of John Evans Atta Mills.

Baffoe-Bonnie’s venture in the media is one of the greatest contributions to political discourse in Ghana.

With affiliation to the now opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), his channels Radio Gold and Montie FM advanced the breadth of political coverage in broadcasting in Ghana.

Radio Gold and Montie FM were shut down in 2019 over non-payment of regulatory charges.
