The vice-president and presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mahamudu Bawumia, says he is the best candidate for the leadership of Ghana in the 2024 presidential election.
Bawumia said he believes that the time has come for him to speak to the people of Ghana about his candidature, his vision and his priorities.
Highlighting his vision for Ghana at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) on Wednesday (7 February), Bawumia said: “I believe I am the best candidate for the presidency of this country in the 2024 presidential election.”
Bawumia was speaking at his first major public lecture of his presidential campaign, on the theme of “Ghana’s Next Chapter: Selfless Leadership and Bold Solutions for the Future”.
“I recognise that submitting myself to your service, the electorate, to vote for me as president is no different from interviewing for a job,” he said.
“If you are looking for the man who has the vision and commitment to prepare Ghana for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, it is Dr Bawumia.
“If you want a leader who has a proven record, and who you can trust to create jobs for the youth, it is Dr Bawumia,” he said.
