Kodua to NPP communicators: Be tolerant of criticisms

The newly elected general secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Justin Frimpong Kodua, wants party communicators to be tolerant and accept criticisms

Justin Frimpong Kodua, the general secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called on party communicators to be tolerant of criticisms and embrace dissenting views.

Speaking at a media engagement to kick start the 30th anniversary of NPP at the party’s headquarters in Accra on Thursday (28 July), Kodua called for unity within the NPP to help the party retain power in the 2024 elections.

“We urge party communicators to be tolerant of criticisms and embrace dissenting opinions as the party seek to win a third consecutive elections as we term it – ‘breaking the 8’.

“We appeal to all members, executives, loyalist and sympathisers of the NPP to be guided by the history and what happens to us whenever we are not united,” Kodua said.

“When you are undermining a fellow party member, when you tell yourself you will not go out and campaign or even bother to vote, think of 1979, think of 2008, think of the pain we went through in 2008.”
