Odododiodioo: I stand a better chance to defeat NDC, says Mannaf Sowah

Sowah over the weekend secured 737 votes to defeat the old guard Nii Lantey Bannerman, who had 524 votes out of 1,261 total valid votes cast

The newly elected parliamentary candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Odododiodioo constituency Abdul Mannaf Sowah, has said he is the most marketable candidate and stands a better chance of snatching the seat back from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Sowah over the weekend secured 737 votes to defeat the old guard Nii Lantey Bannerman, who had 524 votes out of 1,261 total valid votes cast.

The NPP will be seeking to reclaim the Odododiodioo seat in 2024 after losing the seat to the National Democratic Congress.

Appearing on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Monday (4 December), Sowah told Benjamin Offei-Addo that “actually I stand a better chance of winning the seat for the party than Nii Lantey Bannerman.”

“I am coming from the stronghold of the NDC and we want to win the seat even though continuity is very important in the game, …we are going to suppress their vote and will increase our votes from the other side and by doing so, we will win the seat,” he added.
