Legacy Crop Improvement Centre is a smart seed business centre that offers services like seed sorting, threshing, drying, cleaning, grading, chemical treatment, bagging, warehousing, cold storage, and brokerage, among others.

Since it’s inception in 2015, the company has emerged as a vibrant indigenous private seed company in terms of infrastructure, human resources, and service delivery.

Apart from Ghana, it also operates in seed markets in Togo, Burkina Faso and Mali.

Amos Rutherford Azinu, the founder, stated that the Legacy Crop Improvement Centre’s mission is to provide farmers with high-quality maize seeds, cowpea, and soyabean to help them increase their farm yields.

He stated that the new hybrid maize has a 95-day maturity period, a high grain yield, sustainability, and husk coverage.

The Eastern Regional Director of Agriculture, Hajia Abiba Yusufu, commended the center for playing a pivotal role in the production of viable seeds for farmers.
