MTN FA Cup: Dreams FC aim to defend title

Defending champions Dreams FC, fresh off their maiden FA Cup triumph last season, will face a stern test against lower-league outfit Soccer Intellectuals

The 2023/2024 MTN FA Cup quarter-final pairings were revealed in a thrilling draw held on Tuesday (19 March), at the Media Centre of the MTN House in Accra.

Defending champions Dreams FC, fresh off their maiden FA Cup triumph last season, will face a stern test against lower-league outfit Soccer Intellectuals from the Access Bank Division One League.

Dreams FC, hailing from Dawu, will be aiming to retain their title after a dominant run in the competition. Their victory over King Faisal in the 2023 final marked their first-ever major trophy.

The draw also threw up some intriguing Premier League clashes.

Nsoatreman FC will lock horns with Karela United in a battle between two top-flight teams, while Legon Cities will go head-to-head with Bechem United.

Last season’s semifinalists, Skyy FC, will travel to Sunyani to take on Bofoakwa Tano in a fixture promising high-octane action.
