Nasty Blaq: Support content creators; stop playing down their work

The Nigerian comedian says the public should appreciate the effort they put into creating content instead of overly criticising them

Nigerian comedian and social media content creator, Abisi Emmanuel Ezechukwu, known to the world as Nasty Blaq, has said content creators are doing their best and so fans should encourage and support them.

Nasty Blaq made these remarks while sharing his thoughts on social media trolls who overly criticise the works of content creators, in an interview with Naa Ashorkor on Asaase Radio’s Between Hours.

“Put up your camera … and see how it feels”

The social media sensation noted that he “sees so many bad comments on the content creators” but “yes, they’re doing their best and it’s not really easy.”

“If you think it’s easy,” he said to the critics, then “put up your camera, make the videos yourself and let them comment on your video, so you’ll see how it feels.”

Nasty Blaq further urged Ghanaian fans to support their content creators and “just advise them” rather than playing down their work.

He encouraged his colleague content creators to not focus so much on their mistakes but “move on.”
“Look for a solution. If you’re not doing it correctly, upgrade your game,” he said.

Nasty Blaq started making and sharing comedy skits on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube in 2016. However, his break into the limelight came two years after, in 2018 when a skit he shared went viral.
He has since produced numerous comedy skits and featured some famous people including Peter Okoye of defunct African pop duo P-Square.
