NPP flagbearer race: Kennedy Agyapong is best placed to beat Mahama, says Ofusuhene
The UK coordinator for Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Ian Ofusuhene believes his candidate is best placed to beat John Mahama in the 2024 election
Kennedy Ohene Agyapong is the only candidate who can beat the opposition leader John Mahama to help the governing New Patrotic Party break the 8, the UK Coordinator for Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Ian Ofusuhene Animah has said.
The New Patriotic Party is going to the polls on Saturday (4 November) to elect a flagbearer for the party ahead of 2024 elections.
The four aspiring presidential candidates are Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Francis Addai-Nimoh, Owusu Afriyie Akoto and Mahamudu Bawumia.
Ahead of the polls, the four aspiring presidential candidates on Thursday signed an undertaking to accept the outcome of election.
Speaking to Benjamin Offei-Addo on the Asaase Breakafast Show on Friday (3 November), Ofusuhene called on the party to ensure that all the candidates abide by the outcome of the results of the election.
“We have a fight ahead against President Mahama; the only candidate who can beat him is our candidate [Kennedy Agyapong].”
“We’re committed to the agreement signed. Our only concern is for the party to ensure everyone abides by it tomorrow,” Ofusuhene said.
