OSP probes police over fishy recruitment process

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) is to begin investigations into alleged corruption during recruitment of personnel into the Ghana Police Service, an official statement has said.

The announcement follows recent allegations raised by a cross section of Ghanaians over the latest recruitment into the security agencies.

A statement issued by the OSP on Thursday (17 March) said: “The investigations target specific cases of alleged corruption and corruption-related offences of the use of office for profit, abuse of office, abuse of power, favouritism, nepotism, victimisation and the selection of unqualified persons.”
