Palgrave Boakye-Danquah given “Excellence Communicator in Governance” award

The ceremony, which was held in Accra on Friday (30 June), was under the theme; “Innovative solutions for a sustainable future”

The government spokesperson on governance and security, Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, has received the “Excellence Communicator in Governance” recognition at the 2023 edition of the Sustainable Development Excellence Awards organised by the African Youth for Sustainable Development.

The Sustainable Development Excellence Awards (SDEA) is an annual event to honour people, groups and companies that have made remarkable contributions to sustainable development.

Boakye-Danquah was recognised due to his commitment to promoting governance, security, and his exceptional contributions to sustainable development.

He is known for his unmatched communication skills on governance issues and his impact on society over the years.

Speaking to Asaase News after receiving the award, Boakye-Danquah expressed his profound gratitude to the organisers for this prestigious recognition.

“It’s a real honour to be given this award from the team. I only consider it as a real privilege to think that the work that has been given to us to communicate what government does is critical for the general public to know the achievements and the hard work of President Akufo-Addo.

“So, this award is really one that I receive in my own honour and also collectively for all the team that has been working hard in promoting and communicating the developmental works of President Akufo-Addo,” Boakye-Danquah said.

He added: “So, I really wish to extend my sincerest gratitude and appreciation to the Sustainable Development team for this honour. Our work is undone, we still have more to do, to communicate, to let the Ghanaian people know of the good works of President Akufo-Addo.”
