Fella Makafui is no more my wife, says Medikal

The announcement is coming exactly a year after the rapper dismissed rumours about his allegedly failed marriage with wife, Fella Makafui

Ghanaian hip hop musician Medikal has said Fella Makafui is no more his wife.

The announcement is coming exactly a year after the rapper dismissed rumours about his allegedly failed marriage with wife, Fella Makafui, during his media tour promo.

In a terse message on X Saturday (30 March), Medikal said Fella is his baby mother adding that they now co-parenting.

“Fella is no more my wife, she is my Baby mother, we are co- parenting now and it’s all good,” Medikal tweeted.

The couple, who got married in 2020 and welcomed a daughter, have unfollowed each other on Instagram, with Fella Makafui even removing “Mrs. Frimpong” from her username.

Earlier rumours

Medikal in March last year addressed rumours about his allegedly failed marriage with wife, Fella Makafui, during his media tour promo.

Speaking to the local media including Hitz FM, Medikal reiterated that he does not need his wedding ring to prove the existence of his marriage.

“Since we got married, I’ve never worn my ring in any of the pictures,” Medikal said. “Even if I wear it, I will not wear it all the time. It’s like a watch.”

“You don’t wear it all the time. So, not wearing it doesn’t mean something is going on, we (he and his wife) are not at loggerheads, neither is our marriage shaky,” he added.

Speaking on Onua TVNana Ama McBrown, Ghanaian actress and TV presenter, advised the rapper and his wife to manage their situation at their own pace and timing.

“As for this work, whatever you do, they will still talk about you,” she said. “So, just take it slow and prove them wrong.”

Medikal has insisted that Ghanaians read too many meanings into his dealings in recent times.
