Akufo-Addo names Hawa Koomson as caretaker agriculture minister

Owusu Afriyie Akoto resigned as agriculture minister on Tuesday after he personally presented his letter of resignation to Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House to prepare for his presidential campaign

President Nana Akufo-Addo has named Hawa Koomson as the caretaker Minister of Food and Agriculture following the resignation of Owusu Afriyie Akoto.

Akoto resigned on Tuesday after he personally presented his letter of resignation to Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House to prepare for his presidential campaign.

Koomson, who is the Minister of Fisheries will take charge of the agriculture ministry until a substantive minister is appointed.

The president wished Akoto well in his future endeavours.
