Starting 2022 right: Adopt habit of writing daily resolution, says Cynthia Quarcoo

Cynthia Quarcoo believes creating a daily resolution can energise individuals to work towards their dreams and aspirations

Cynthia Quarcoo, the founder and managing partner of CQ Legal and Consulting has admonished Ghanaians to adopt the habit of writing daily resolutions.

Speaking to Kwaku Nhyira-Addo on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Tuesday ( 4 January) on “Starting 2022 right, maintaining the right balance”, Quarcoo said treating every day as a new opportunity to work towards set targets or goals will change one’s mindset in achieving them.”

“I started off by saying that we need to create a resolution for every day because when it is coming to the end of the year we say oh yes New Year resolution, I am going to lose 20 pounds … do this, buy that car,” she said.

“The same energy we put in, if we could treat every day as a new opportunity to correct the mistakes, to do better, it will change our mindset when it comes to that, that is how I treat it.”

She added, “… And also the issue of age… so I wrote another article 52, or 25 doesn’t matter, so you didn’t go to university when you were young, you are in your forties, your kids are grown up, go back..”

Quarcoo says it is crucial for individuals to take their destiny into their own hands.

“If we come to the realisation that we can create our own destiny then we put our success into our own hands; that’s all we can ask for. A lot of us had dreams when we were younger and it is important that we get back to that period of innocence because it is there that we can access our boundless potential,” she added.
