Wendy Shay becomes 2022 most streamed Ghanaian female artiste on Boomplay
The Rufftown Records signee was the only Ghanaian female artiste who featured on Boomplay’s top 10 out of their weekly 100 songs during the release of Boomplay's mid-year streaming statistics
Ghanaian Afropop and Afrobeats singer Wendy Asiamah Addo, popularly known as Wendy Shay, has been named the 2022 most-streamed female artiste in Ghana on Boomplay.
This declaration is based on the Boomplay Global Stats from November 2021 to October 2022.
The Rufftown Records signee was the only female Ghanaian artiste who featured on Boomplay’s top 10 out of their weekly 100 songs during the release of Boomplay’s mid-year streaming statistics.
Gyakie and Diana Hamilton, both Ghanaian singers, came in second and third place as the most-streamed female artistes in 2022, respectively.
Wendy Shay’s song Survivor, Habiba, and Heat, went so viral and have contributed to several streams, earning her such prestige.
