Abuakwa North: Palgrave Boakye Danquah supports old Tafo refuse dump; caretaker to be paid every month

His initiative aims to improve waste management practices and ensure the cleanliness and the overall well-being of the community

In the bid to address the waste management challenges in the Akyem Old Tafo community, Dr. Palgrave Boakye Danquah, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate Hopeful for the Abuakwa North Constituency in the Eastern region has step forward to support the Akyem Old Tafo Fofiase refuse dump.

As part of his efforts, Dr. Boakye Danquah has provided protective clothing, wheelbarrow, brooms and other working gears for people working at the refuse dump and has also promise a monthly payment for the caretaker to oversee the proper maintenance and management of the refuse dump.

Dr. Boakye Danquah’s promise to pay the caretaker is a crucial aspect of his initiative because Madam Leticia Peasah has been working voluntarily as caretaker of the site for some time now.

The caretaker will be responsible for overseeing the refuse dump, ensuring the cleanliness and the proper management of the dumpsite.

Dr. Palgrave Boakye Danquah’s support for the Akyem Old Tafo Fofiase refuse dump and his promise to pay the caretaker every month will not only help in improving waste management practices, but also create a cleaner and a healthier Akyem Old Tafo community.

Also, Samuel Kwesi Abredu from the office of the Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit in Old Tafo Fofiase expressed gratitude to Boakye-Danquah for his kind gesture.

“We use this medium of this August House to really appreciate the efforts of Mr. Palgrave for coming in to help with sanitary tools and also monthly allowance to a volunteer woman who has been helping maintaining the refuse dump of Fofiase.

“For sometimes now the Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit in Old Tafo catchment Area from last year August, has been providing her with some few tools and some little token to motivate her to work on the refuse dump from our own pocket till this time that Palgrave has come in to support.”

“We will like to say God richly bless him for all his good works he is embarking on in this our great municipality,” Abredu wrote.
