Accident on Pokuase interchange leaves 3 persons seriously injured

An accident on the Kwabenya to Awoshie stretch of the 4-tier Pokuase interchange has left three persons critically injured.
The accident, which happened at about 6:45 pm, today 29 October 2023, involved two private vehicles, a Toyota Corolla S, with registration number GE 7987-18, and a Daewoo Matiz 3, with registration number GT 7472 – 18.
Eyewitnesses at the scene of the accident indicate that there were two persons (the driver and a passenger) in the Daewoo Matiz and the Corolla S, had only the driver occupying it.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla S salon car, according to a bystander who saw the accident unfold, hit the Daewoo Matiz from behind, causing the two cars to crash into each other after the initial hit.
Other road users who chanced on the accident, according to another eyewitness, took the three injured persons to a nearby hospital.
