Asaase Foundation donates dialysis machines to climax milestone anniversaries

The donation climaxed the multiple milestone anniversaries of Asaase Broadcasting Company’s radio stations in Accra, Kumasi, Tamale and Cape Coast

Asaase Broadcasting Company Ltd, a leading media group in Ghana, has handed over seven out of a batch of 13 state-of-the-art dialysis machines to beneficiary hospitals across the country in the Asaase Foundation’s Kidney Health campaign.

The donation climaxed the multiple milestone anniversaries of Asaase Broadcasting Company’s radio stations in Accra, Kumasi, Tamale and Cape Coast.

This remarkable occasion was part of the Asaase Foundation’s Kidney Health campaign, which aims to enhance access to life-saving dialysis treatment across the nation.

On 16 June 2023, key stakeholders, government officials and representatives from beneficiary hospitals gathered to witness the foundation’s tremendous donation in Accra. Seven of the cutting-edge dialysis machines were handed over to hospitals in Accra, Bolgatanga, Enchi, Hohoe, Obuasi, Sogakope and Sunyani, bolstering their capacity to provide crucial health care to patients in need.

Nenyi George Andah, the chief executive officer of Asaase Broadcasting Company, expressed profound gratitude and underlined the significance of the occasion.

He also expressed gratitude to Anita Abena Amoako, the head of global relations, Asaase Foundation for her role in securing the dialysis machines.

New era

New Akan-based station

“We firmly believe in the power of partnerships and collaboration to address pressing health-care challenges in our communities. By providing these dialysis machines, we aim to alleviate the burden on health-care facilities and enable more patients to receive the life-saving treatment they desperately need,” he said.

Representatives from the earlier beneficiary institutions – the Upper West Regional Hospital in Wa, Tarkwa Municipal Hospital and the Bono Regional Hospital in Sunyani – expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the donation of equipment to them and emphasised its significant impact on their ability to serve the community.

They highlighted the importance of partnerships with organisations such as Asaase Broadcasting Company and the Asaase Foundation in improving health-care outcomes and saving lives.

The handover ceremony was a resounding success, symbolising the unwavering commitment of the broadcasting company and the foundation to social responsibility and making a positive difference in the lives of Ghanaians. It exemplified the mission of amplifying the voice of the people and creating memorable experiences within the communities that both organisations serve.
