Marlon Anipa, the district chief executive for the newly created Guan District in the Oti Region, has reportedly died. He was 63 years old.
Anipa’s demise comes barely two weeks after his confirmation as the first DCE for the new created Guan District.
He is reported to have taken up his duties as DCE officially on Monday (15 November) by visiting various testing centres as the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) commenced.
He was unanimously approved as the district chief executive for Guan by the 19 local assembly members after his nomination by President Akufo-Addo.
Anipa was a specialist consultant and a member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In 2016, he contested the Hohoe parliamentary seat on the ticket of the NPP but failed in his bid.
