Inflation rate for February 2024 drops to 23.2%

This means that in the month of February 2024 the general price level was 23.2% higher than February 2023

The year-on-year, inflation rate for February 2024 has dropped to 23.2% from 23.5% in January this year, the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has announced.

This represents a 0.3 percentage point decrease from January’s inflate rate.

According to the GSS, food inflation stood at 27.0%, while non-food items saw an inflation rate of 20.0%.

This means that in the month of February 2024 the general price level was 23.2% higher than February 2023

The month-on-month inflation between January 2024 and February 2024 was 1.6%.
