Performing in Qatar was the highlight of my year, says Stonebwoy
Speaking on the Between Hours Show with Naa Ashorkor, he said the love he felt from Ghanaians and other Africans in Qatar was different
Ghanaian Afropop, dancehall and reggae artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, said performing at the FIFA Fan Festival was the best thing that happened to him this year.
Speaking on the Between Hours Show with Naa Ashorkor, he said the love he felt from Ghanaians and other Africans in Qatar was different, saying he appreciates everyone who made it to Qatar to support.
“Thanks to every Ghanaian who showed up, the love I felt in Qatar was different, like this is Qatar, this is not like UK or Europe you know what I mean,” the ‘Baafira’ hitmaker said on Asaase 99.5 Accra.
“I felt the most love also over this place. Let’s get out there as Ghanaians, let’s push because I know our people would want to see us everywhere.
“God came through because considering the circumstance under which everything went, like yeah, it’s dope. I didn’t even play with my DJ you can understand, but we still pulled out the best performances,” Stonebwoy said.
He added: “Per the circumstances we were unable to fly our band to Qatar, so to get such an outcome, what is meant to be is meant to be. Performing at Qatar was the best thing that happened to me this year.”
