The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has signed a partnership agreement with Macron under which the sports equipment manufacturer will become its official match ball partner.
Valued at GHC1.6 million, the agreement is valid for three football seasons and takes effect from the 2020-21 season.
The GFA has since confirmed that the partnership will cover three of its products: the Ghana Premier League, MTN FA Cup and the National Division One League.
The competitions will therefore be played exclusively with Macron-produced and Macron-branded balls as well as training bibs.
To this end, Macron will supply the GFA with a total of 5,000 footballs and 1,500 bibs every season.
Macron is expected to supply the products before the next season, to enable clubs to train with the kit.
The Ghana Football Association and its members will go to congress next month. Congress is expected to approve a calendar for the next football season, which is expected to start in October.
