Yussif Mustapha, the MP for Yagaba-Kubori and Minister of Youth and Sports, has donated GHC200,000 to support tertiary students from his constituency.
The scholarship was awarded to brilliant but needy students who are pursuing undergraduate and post graduate degree, diploma and certificate courses at the various public and private tertiary institutions across Ghana.
A total of 872 students had applied to benefit from the MP’s common fund.
The NPP secretary for the Yagaba-Kubori constituency, Alhasan Bipuah Abudu disclosed that students from the constituency who could not submit their application letters can still do so.
Mustapha outdoored the educational fund in 2021 to sponsor students from his constituency who are qualified to study medicine and law programmes in any of the accredited universities.
The MP urged the beneficiaries and all students from the Yagaba-Kubori constituency to study hard and make the district proud.
