Amoah said the forum will help restore confidence in the economy.
Speaking to sit-in host of the Asaase Breakfast Show Benjamin Offei-Addo on Wednesday (15 February), Amoah said: “For the past 10 years our financial institutions have gone through situations that are not palatable. This is where the propping up of the economy as quickly as possible is essential to bring back confidence.”
“We must have a frank and transparent discussion as to what the details are,” he said. “We must look at what led us here and to ensure that in the rebuilding of our economy… It is done in such a way that we do not repeat the ills of the past.”
“We need to have something that looks like Senchi consensus, and this is to bring in the relevant stakeholders from the Ministry of Finance, Bank of Ghana including the investment public to understand what led us into this current situation and the way forward,” Amoah said.
