Kevin Hart: Becoming billionaire by 45 “is not about the money”

Kevin Hart, a comedian and actor says the biggest side of being a billionaire is the ability to be there for other people

Kevin Hart, 42-year-old businessman, comedian and actor who grew up on the street of Philadelphia has said he wants to be a billionaire by the time he’s 45.

Speaking to Gayle King, co-host of CBS Mornings, Hart said, of all his titles – actor, comedian, entrepreneur, businessman; business is the priority.

“Business is evergreen. Business doesn’t go away. Put something that lasts. I have learnt to run a business by being a sponge in a room,’’ he added.

He noted that it is not about the money but rather about the title of a billionaire, what it means, how he got it, his role to getting it, and telling other black kids from the inner cities that are told so much is impossible for them to understand its possible.

“Being a billionaire”

“I’m street smart, you put a book in front of me, tell me to tell you what I read I’ll have some troubles. I’m going to fall asleep 12 times reading that book but put me in an environment where people are talking about things; I can pick it up fast, I can understand, I can execute,’’ he added

Hart explained that he is very good at relationships, and continuing conversations that have been ended, he’s capable of rebuilding on those conversations.

“Having conversations, giving information, providing opportunities, is the biggest side of being a billionaire, being no longer for self but other people as well,’’ he added.

“Providing for others”

Asked what philanthropy means to him, he said “this is bigger than me, ultimately providing for others is the real dream.’’

‘’I want to be known as a guy to take advantage of all opportunities that were presented and found opportunities that weren’t presented. And took of those too. For me, my happiness comes from challenges within me. And at the end of my life, I can look and say I lived it to the highest level for me,’’ he said
