NDC race: Kofi Adams, Ayine win Buem and Bolgatanga East tickets

Kofi Adams will be seeking a second term in office as MP in next year’s general elections slated for 7 December 2024

The incumbent Buem MP Kofi Adams has won Saturday’s parliamentary primary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to run for re-election in the 2024 general elections.

Adams, a former national organiser of the party, polled 444 votes beating his main contender Babs Adamu, who had 431.

Adams will be seeking a second term in office as MP in next year’s general elections slated for 7 December 2024.

Meanwhile, in the Bolgatanga East constituency the former deputy Attorney-General and Minister of Justice Dominic Akurintinga Ayine, has also won.

The incumbent MP polled 292 votes to beat his only challenger, Emmanuel Abeeri-inga who secured 121 votes of the total valid votes cast.

More than 355,000 NDC party delegates took part in the voting process at 401 centres across the country for the ballot.
