One person has lost his life after an armed robbery attack on a group of students of the University of Energy and Natural Resource (UENR).
A group of UENR students were attacked while returning from a field trip at the Bui Power Authority in Bui, in the Banda District of the Bono Region,
The incident happened on Tuesday, 16 April 2024 around 7pm on Odumase-Badu road.
In a statement from the university signed by deputy registrar Alfred Appiah, “The University Management wishes to inform the general public and parents that an unfortunate incident happened yesterday, Tuesday, 16 April, 2024 at 7pm as a group of armed robbers attacked some 300 and 400 Bs Renewal Energy Engineering students during their return from a field trip to Bui Power Authority”.
“Tragically, one student lost his life as a result of the incident. It said, the family of the deceased has been notified, and our thoughts are with them during this difficult time”.
